The Spirit dress is produced with pure linen fabric that remains light and breathable throughout the day. This dress is an ideal spring-summer piece in a refreshing cornflower blue shade that will whisk you back to the forties era.
Featuring plenty of incredible details accurate to the true vintage Marldena dress the pattern was taken from, down to the smallest saddle stitch detail.
The front bodice boasts a wide wing collar, four pearled buttons to fasten, and two rows of pleating across the bust decorated with topstitching. There are also two practical, deep pockets just below the waist seam, which echo the pleating and stitching on the bust. A matching fabric belt is also included.
The dress's silhouette is a close-fitting, 'wiggle' shape, structured with well-placed darts through the waist on the front and back. To create this polished, elongated shape when worn, the skirt is also slightly longer than our other replica pieces. A long inverted pleat in the back aids ease of movement.

Please note: the Spirit dress has a tightly-fitting cut. From customer feedback and from trying the dress on ourselves, we've found that it runs small, so we recommend you order a size larger than your usual size.
